What in the world determines when top ten lists are updated? Wow! Talk about irregular!

My forum's top ten hasn't changed in about three weeks. Last time, it was updated in about 5 days. Once before it seemed like it took about two months. Hey, wake that guy up! What gives? c001, that's happened to me a couple of times, too, but I was able to get back to the answer pane, where my answer was still intact. Maybe you hit it at exactly the wrong split second, or something.

1. Yahoo Answers has been messed up ever sense it decided to upgrade, and even a bit before then. I have had numerous occasions where I tried to answer a question, and after getting through writing the answer, one of which took me 45 minutes to write, it comes up saying "We're taking a breather... yahoo answers is on a coffee break." I was mad enough about my answer being lost (apparently you can't resubmit when it does that even after it is fixed) but then they throw these cheesy metaphors at me to-boot! There was one time that I received best answer for some question and my "Activity Details" showed it, but I didn't end up getting the email for about a day, and this is a fully automated system. They're still trying to work out the kinks in their new system. Hopefully this answer gets through... about every other answer I submit gets the coffee break page. I preferred the old version. On this one it doesn't always offer me the spell check even if I spell something wrong, and I am a terrible speller. Hopefully they will get this fixed soon.
2. They used to do it daily. Then, they did it weekly. Sometimes, it gets 'jammed' and it takes weeks before it is updated again. Check out the top ones and find one that is still ACTIVELY answering and getting Best Answers. Watch their numbers. When they finally change, you will know that it has been updated.
