  1. 3/4 came. Some people came who did not RSVP, some people RSVP'd who didn't come. We spent a lot of money on food, but they liked the band and the alcohol much more than the food. If you're in the South, The Rockets are the most fantastic band ever. You can Google them.
  2. most are coming to ours. there are a few that are in another country or a state far away, but only about 5-10% are not able to come. However, we only invited about 120 people, and most are closer friends and family, so there were not too many people we were unsure of. I think the average is 10-20% that RSVP "no".
  3. Our wedding we had a large dance hall and my parents invited everyone in the world, some by invitation and some by phone, the dance hall held 500 guest and we ended up with about that many, we had a large cake so that wasn't an issue. We had a live band. Everyone that came was admitted. We had the reception at the same place and had enough food to feed all. We (our parents had the money to do this) didn't have a problem with too many guest or not enough, it was a blast and after so many years it is still the best wedding anyone attended, because they knew there was no restrictions. The fun part was all the gifts, back then we didn't we didn't register for gifts anywhere, so if we got 5 coffee maker so be it, we still have gifts we haven't used, it took 2 big trucks to deliver all the gifts to our apartment, and then the next day we had close family and friend come over for gift opening. It has been 25 years and still no one has forgotten our wedding. Now a days I find wedding are so boring due to gift registry and limited amount of guest. If I am invited to a wedding a they have a gift registry and they have lets say towels, and asking for two towels that is all I give, because that is what is requested. What a cheap gift.
