Does anyone have a book list and or price list for the the books available for Amazon Kindle 2?

I'm thinking of buying a Kindle 2, but I'd like to see what is available and the prices of the books. I know new releases are like 10 dollars, but what about everything else.

  1. It always depends. there are some for free, others cost up to a few hundred dollars (technical literature). so it´s your decision, i think it is still the cheapest way to just borrow books from others or to go to the library. If you´re lucky you can even find new books there, always depends if people in your town donate many books or not. In our library you can borrow as many books as you want and all u pay for is 1 euro one time (for the card) and if u forget to either bring the books back in 4 weeks or to call in order to extend the time of the lending. And just like when you buy a Kindle your shelves wont break because of too many books... So after all there is no cheaper way than that! Gotta take what they give you, but if you love books, you´ll always find something!
  2. Most new releases are not 9.99 anymore. In some cases the Kindle versionis MORE expensive than the book.
  3. There are over 200,000 Kindle books. With so many books the price range is really wide, from free (books in public domain), less than one dollar, several dollars, to a few thousand dollars. Kindle books are cheaper than actual books, it is better for you to search for some specific books and check the price. 4. The range is really wide but in general it is around 10 dollars more or less. If you read quite a lot, it is definitely a must have as Kindle books are cheaper than actual books. There has been a calculation that if you buy 70 Kindle books, the money saved on buy books already cover the price of the Kindle device. If you are considering whether you should buy one, you can check some review to make up your mind. 5. Just go to www.amazon.com, where it says "search" click on Kindle Store and click "go". That will provide you with a list of all 255,000 books available and their prices. You can also search by whatever keyword you like or browse the same way you would print books by using the menu on the left side of the screen.
  6. You can get other free books outside of Amazon. Note though you may have to convert them and import it via a USB cable, which is provided. Here is a nice list of links. http://ireaderreview.com/2008/01/19/free-books-for-the-amazon-kindle/
