How can I run my own archive of a public mailing list, if the list owners don't provide one?
I want to archive messages from any mailing list, like you see on the web, with threaded/nested conversations in HTML, etc. I want to put this on my own private website. Let's assume I have their permission for this. The reason I want this is so I'm not restricted to my email client if I want to browse and search old messages from mailing lists.
Public Comments
- Archive them to a database Although much more technical this is better. Otherwise just use Outlook and use a program like Lookout search Lookout is better and faster then Outlook search and will Index properly
- Wget the site, if you have permission ..
- I'm not exactly sure what you want, but here's a couple of suggestions. There are web based email clients you could install, plus i have a mailing list manager that might help you, not sure where I got it from so I can't give you a link but would be happy to make it downloadable for you. The web based client that I found to be best in terms of operation, installation, customisation, is called Iloha mail, again i could send that to you but you may be able to google it.
