how much would you charge to translate newsletters?

i recently posted an ad on crags list to translate any type of documents from english to spanish and viceversa. the thing is that i don't know how much to charge, if i do it per document or per hr. thanks for the information

1. You wouldn't charge by the hour, because what matters is the finished product, not how long it takes you to do it. Even with very technical stuff, you would give a quote depending on level of difficulty. Spanish/English-English/Spanish translations may be in great demand, but so is the supply of translators, so you don't want to quote too high or you'll never get any work. Assuming your grammar/spelling/punctuation skills are excellent, you could easily charge $25/page. Just be careful; once you turn in faulty work, you'll lose ground quickly.
