- Try the good old phone book the best thing to do is call and meet them some may be cheaper than others but you should find out what they offer and how long they have been doing it you dont want a 17 year old with a disposable
- Bettye, do the following to save on wedding photos: Post a note on a local bulletin board (physical or a Craigslist) and put down requirements. State: "I am in search of (ISO) a wedding photog for a (formal, informal, casual) wedding on (name a date or just list a month). I would like to get price quotes and look at representative work from all interested photographers in the (name your city here) area that would like to take photos for me." You may want to ask for other specifics such as studio work, location pre-wedding photos, etc., as you may desire. Another idea is to check your local listings in newspapers about this time of year for wedding photogs and see if some offer services and will sell you the negatives or supply electronic files of your wedding for a set fee. You can then have someone locally run pics of your choosing after you size and edit them (if this is something you can do). Lots of photogs work on an hourly basis and let you do your own processing through one of the big online printing services that let you edit and even caption pics right online and they will bind them in albums to be delivered to your door. Good luck, Bettye!
