What's your Top 10 List of Most Overrated Movies?

I don't necessarily mean movies that you hated, although they could fall into this category too. I'm talking about movies that either the critics, or your friends, or the academy, or public hype said were just so wonderful, funny, touching, scary, "classic," and/or "MUST-SEE" and when you saw them you were either disappointed, or you hated it, or it was not funny in your opinion, or it was boring, or you thought "That's IT!? It's okay but nothing special." TEN POINTS Somebody asked for my list in no particular order: 1. Animal House 2. Napolean Dynamite 3. Sideways 4. English Patient 5. Silence of the Lambs 6. Citizen Kane (Not bad just not the "Greatest American Movie Ever Made" either) 7. Dr. Strangelove 8. Monty Python and the Holy Grail 9. The Producers (1st version) 10. Some Like It Hot I could go on but I think you get the drift.

2. Eeekss I can't really think of 10. But I can contribute hsm (high school musical). I do love it to bits but it is seriously over-rated. It's good, but not that amazing.

8. 1. High School Musical, it just ruined the whole disney thing. 2. Twilight, it was okay until everyone was like "TWILIGHT! OMG! TWLIGHT!" and started flooding the yahoo answers movie page with questions about it, although, I didn't really like it anyway, I was very disappointed on how much they stuffed it up. 3. Cloverfield, everyone said it was good but when I saw it, it made no sense, I mean, what the hell was that thing? They didn't explain anything. 4. Hannah Montana, they just took it too far in making it into a movie, the tv show is bad enough (although I haven't actually seen the movie) 5. Ginger Snaps 2 + 3, they should have just left it at the first one. 6. Confessions of a Shopaholic, even though I did like this one a lot, I was still a little bit disappointed. 7. School for Scoundrels, it was a little bit boring, I was so happy but then I was a quite disappointed, still like it though. 8. Texas Chainsaw Massachre: The Beginning (or however you spell it), it was very boring and didn't get exciting in the action parts. 9. The Uninvited, I just found it to be an English version of 'The Tale of the Two Sisters', there was no difference at all, very disappointed, it was a bit slow too. 10. Saw 5, wasn't the best Saw movie, it said it was exciting and the most gruesome yet but they say that about all of them, Saw 5 was slow, not really into the action and just boring, but it was okay, I sort of liked it.
