Can anyone list out all necessary software project documents from planning phase to implementation phase?
I need to know what are all the documents (in general) which appear during entire SDLC. LIke functional specs, technical specs, project schedule etc.

- Hi, I might have missed something, but in my experience the following tend to be generated: - Business Requirement Spec - Functional and Non Functional Requirements - Use Cases - High Level Design - Software Requirement Spec - Software Dev plan (tasks and resources) - Traceability Matrix - Test Scripts - Quality Plan - End Stage Assessments - Test Completion Report I think that's about it. Of course this all depends on how big the project is and how keen the client is on following a Project Management methodology. I have consulted at companies where $5m projects were delivered with only 20% of the list completed, whereas other companies want everything done for a $500k project! I hasten to add New Media / Internet projects tend to cut the corner because they need to be launched ASAP. Business System projects tend to be slower and more methodology intensive. Hope this helps.
