best pure starting point guard: best to worst?

by pure, i eliminate combo guards like dwyane wade, allen iverson, jason terry. these guys play strictly point guard throughout their careers. 1. chris paul: should be the mvp. hornets have no depth and have no business playing at an elite level, yet they are. 2. steve nash: 2 time mvp. career accomplishment speaks for themselves 3. jason kidd: no matter what the naysayers say. hes still a triple double machie with solid defense and unparalleled court vision 4. gilbert arenas: just look at how bad the wiz are struggling without him 5. chauncey billups: he's a winner wherever he goes 6. tony parker: can score and dish almost at will. spurs system doesn't help his stats. 7. deron williams: the heart and soul of the jazz franchise. makes the team offense go. a bit overrated. the jazz played well with brevin knight when he was injured 8. baron davis: if put under the right situation, he's an athletic freak and possibly the top 3 point guards in the league. 9. devin harris: high scoring point guard. not really such a great playmaker. too many turnovers 10. andre miller: steady point guard. leadership. unselfish 11. mike bibby: steady leader, great outside shooter 12. mo williams: meshes well with lebron james, which is previously unheard of. great shooter. 13. rajon rondo: great hands, quick, still improving rapidly 14. jameer nelson: college superstar breaks out in a big way this season. magic's title hope are gone when he got injured 15. derrick rose: rookie of the year candidate has great potential 16. jamaal tinsley: unbelievable playmaking skills. larry bird single-handedly sabotages his career 17. ramon sessions: one of the best up and coming point guard in the nba. excellent playmaking skills 18. jose calderon: great shooter, playmaker. horrible defender. not a winner 19. t.j. ford: lottery pick and college superstar can shoot and dish. can't seem to keep his starting job. beat out by mo williams in milwaukee, calderon in toronto, then jarrett jack(who isn't on this list because he also plays shooting guard) in indiana. 20. russell westbrook: rookie is still developing his playmaking skills ,cutting down his turnovers, and practicing his shots. has hop. very athletic 21. rafer alston: streetball legend still has a loyal following. poor shooting percentage. above average playmaking skills 22. chris duhon: good playmaker. doesn't do much else. 23. steve blake: steady, pass-happy point guard with range. doesn't try to do too much 24. derek fisher: playoff heroic. clutch shooter. good 3 point shooter. doesn't handle the ball as much with kobe bryant around 25. mario chalmers: good defense. likes to steal the ball. doesn't handle the ball as much with wade around 26. luke ridnour: sure he takes care of the ball and dishes out some dimes, but thats about it 27. beno udrih: below average, turnover prone point guard who is grossly overpaid 28. mike conley: draft bust and oden's buddy is showing sign of life. will never be more than a mediocre player\ 29. aaron brooks: will only be known as the guy who shares the same name with michael vick's cousin and former saints quarterback. 30. sebastian telfair: actually played better than his famous cousin stephon marbury this year 31. rodney stuckey: single handedly destroy the pistons franchise. dumars and curry's stubborness also destroy chauncey billups' legacy. 2 all-stars, 1 mvp are benched so he can start. only stuckey is capable of such amazing feat.

  2. Arenas is toast. I don't think he'll get back anywhere close to how he was 3 years ago when he was torching the Lakers. I would take out Arenas, move Billups to 4th and Devin Harris 5th. You're right, the turnovers is really killing Harris' stats. He just needs to slow down sometimes.
