What do you normally put on your baby shower registry? I've listed a couple of things but you might have other?

items/ideas that i haven't thought of. I don't want to put too many things as i only want what really is essential. Hope you can help! Any ideas are welcome! (if it helps, i'll be staying home and plan to breastfeed)

  1. I put a nursing pillow, diapers, wipes,a couple outfits, wipe warmer, diaper bag, baby tub, first aid and grooming kit,bed sheets. I tried not to put anything above $40 on it. I decided that I would buy my own breast pump, and all of the furniture.
  2. Baby mittens, bibs, and baby nail clippers.
  3. Crib Change Table Dresser Stroller (maybe a travel system with the infant carrier included, these are so much easier). Car seat which converts to a booster when they're big enough (better than buying another seat later on). 8-10 diaper shirts in size 3 and 6 months 8-12 sleepers manual breast pump (Avent Isis is amazing) it's good to have the pump on hand in case of engorgement at the beginning and just in case of emergency. 2 bottles (Avent bottles connect right onto the pump. snugli or sling bouncy chair baby swing receiving blankets (about 12) crib fitted sheets (fyi, lay a receiving blanket over the fitted sheet so if baby spits up in their sleep, you only need to replace the receiving blanket in the middle of the night, not always the fitted sheet) baby towel, splurge on 1-2 really nice soft ones 24 baby wash cloths.
  4. Nursing pillow, diapers, wipes, baby bjorn carrier, playard, tummy time play mats, crib, dresser, bedding set, changer, changer pad, extra sheets, receiving blankets, towels, wash cloths, soap, lotion, diaper rash cream, wipe warmer, diaper genie, bouncer, swing, breast pump, breast pump supplies, breast cream for sore nipples, bottles, pacifiers, car seat, stroller, and burp cloths. Most of the cute toys and clothes will be bought for you regardless of whether you register for them or not. I tried to be sure that my registry had items in all price ranges. This way, my baby shower guests have plenty to choose from.
  5. Here's a list from justmommies. One note: Don't register for clothing... people will buy you *tons* of clothes that are not on the registry and ignore your clothing requests anyway. I also recommend Baby Bargains, a book that lists tons of baby stuff and tells you what is useful and what is junk, plus ratings on all kinds of baby stuff so you can get the safest stuff for the best price. Also try consumerreports.org for ratings (online subscription is cheap and VERY worth it).
