Isn't it sort of sad when the American public asks Santa for a present and when they get it, they find it was?

a horrible mistake? 70% of the American public backed Bush in the invasion of Iraq, falling for the transparent lies of WMD and "mushroom clouds" over our cites. They got their wish and in return got over 4,000 plastic bags containing the remains of young people who died in vain. During the Bush years and continuing today is the republican chant of personal responsibility and no national healthcare. This "personal responsibility" was the call the neo cons called "starving the beast", the idea that if they could gut the treasury that Social Security and Medicare would die a natural death due to lack of funding. The public backed this insanity by re-electing Bush who went about the business of making sure that tax cuts for the corporations and wealthy individuals would lead to shortfalls in taxes that would put a stop to these programs once and for all. They would kill the FDR ideas without firing a shot. Now these items on the American public Santa list are becoming reality. These programs will now die due to lack of revenue and the "beast" will be starved. This republican dream come true will turn out to be like when they asked Santa for the Iraq war. The republicans are winning and the only "socialized" health care we have is about to disappear, leaving the elderly and disabled to fend for themselves. Like the body bags from Iraq that 70% of our people wanted, they are about to understand what it is like to live in a society that is NOT a socialist society, something like Mexico where you can die in the gutter if you don't have plenty of money, Congratulation. You win and we all lose.

13. I am very supportive of our president and I've found that people have become so ignorant. To think back to the dreams that built our country and all the pride, it makes me awfully sad when people become selfish and have instantaneous desires. In order to preserve our liberty we need to cooperate and make decisions for the greater good. I give credit to those out there who appreciate life for its simplicity and have realized the true meaning of things. And it is so disappointing to hear people dissing our president. Hey if you want change you need to contribute, moping and complaining isn't going to fix our country!
