How do you list a job on a resume that is through a temp agency and than changes to working for actual company

The job I am currently working is through a temp agency. After the temp contract is up the company is going to keep me and put me on their payroll. How do I list the temp agency on my resume?

  1. List them as their actual name. Be certain to include the start and end dates. When you go in to interview for a position, you can discuss this. By listing them you won't show any gaps in employment.
  2. You put the actual job and not the temp agency. You may list it on your resume as a temp to hire position.
  3. There are several ways to do this, but a lot of it depends on if you worked at several companies for the temp agency before going permanent, and how the company you'll be working for reports start and end dates to people calling for references, as well as how long you were a temp. One way is to list the Temp Agency as a seperate employer, and list the various jobs you held for them in their "section" Another way, particularly if you only worked for one employer for that agency and were then hired permanently is to notate under the Employer the total time you worked there as both a temp and a permanent employee, then notate under it that you started as a temp in month/year and were hired full time permanent in month/year. You can also group the two employers together, like this: 9/05-3/06 ABC Temp Agency (contracted to Perm Employer) 3/06-current Perm Employer <title and job functions>
  4. list the name of the company you were doing the work for from the beginning. don't list the temp name
