do restaurants have to list that they use imitation crab vs real crab in the food they sell?

1. No, but you can ask the restaurant.
2. no they dont have and most wont because most ppl will think that they have real crabs.
3. Most restaurants use imitation crabs when fresh crab is out of season. The freshest are found right after the ice melts.
4. Most restaurants do not list ingrediants and are not required to. I think if you asked they would have to reveal it because of allergy concerns.
