how do I plan my wedding list?
I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas of how to make a list of people to invite to my wedding. It hasn't been an easy task I'm thinking of inviting 300 people.

- My wife and I used an Excel spreadsheet. It had 5 columns. 1.) People's names 2.) Number of people invited 3.) Number of people who said they will actually attend 4.) Description of the gift they gave, if any 5.) Thank you note sent or not? 6.) Picture of the people invited Happy planning and congratulations! * * *
- I would try to type it. and I think it's also helpful to put it in order from immediate family to extended family. So start with your parents, then siblings, then grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins, 2nd/great aunts/uncles/cousins, etc Also one list for the bride and one for the groom is helpful i think. to have it separate i mean. if you do it in excel like someone else suggested, you can do a data merge and create labels for the invitations, thank you notes, bridal shower invitations, etc.
- I'm not sure if you're asking how to create it, or how to keep to 300. So, since the other suggestions answered how to make it, I'll answer how to limit. You can do an age cut off...ex. no one under twelve, or no children. You can limit by closeness of relatives...immediate family, aunts, uncles, first cousins. You can narrow down couples, by only inviting partners if they are engaged, long term relationship, or married. You can eliminate all coworkers for both of you, if necessary.
