Does a resume need to have an activities section listed on it?

I'm thinking I might need to list activities or volunteer activities that I've been a part of on my resume.

2. Need no, but listing volunteer activities is not a bad idea.
3. no, but if you want to list volunteer work just list it under volunteer work :)
4. no. you can tell all of it during your interview. a short resume is better to dig at.
