What states have open waiting lists for the housing choice voucher program/ section 8?

1. Minnesota is great for handling this kind of housing. There are many people there that don't work and live this way.
2. washington state has this program. a lady at work just got on to the program and she said it took 6 months. her rent is now $200.00 a month. goog luck
3. Wherever there is a Housing Authority, they will have open Section 8 lists for qualified individuals. How long one has to wait is the question. If you're number 145 on a list in a large city, your wait may be less than one year.
