I can't find the list of baby shower gifts I received. What do I do?
After our baby shower 2 weeks ago, we moved accross the country from Virginia to San Diego. The list of the gifts I received is no where to be found. Any ideas on how to word the thank you notes?

- if you know where the items are, maybe u can make another list.
- thank you for the wonderful gift for our new arrival to be
- E-mail them to every person you invited but dont mention what they got. Just thankthem in general and tell them how thankful you are for them. Mention some gifts that you really liked too.
- thank you for your gift. It was so thoughtful. It is greatly appreciated! It was needed! :) thank you so very much, not only for the gift. but for attending.
- Eek...that is hard. I would just say something like, "thank you for the gift for (baby's name). It was very much appreciated, and we will definitely use it. Thank you for helping us welcome (baby's name) into the world. Something like that. Not too generic, but it would work for any gift.
- How about you design and order a simple thank you gift: a fridge magnet or card with vistaprint.com and word it like a keepsake? I used them for our wedding invites & thank you's and they have some excellent quality products - the ability to customise everything makes a lovely personal gift. You can make them more personal by adding a photo of baby/scan or of your new family (if your due date isnt too far away?!), you could also include a 'hello' from San Diego type message. Im sure people would love to recieve a thank you they can use/keep to remind them :)
- Instead of saying how greatful you are for a specific gift just say 'I greatly appreicate the lovely gift you presented me, I look forward to using it as the baby grows.' or something along those lines. Then include how much fun you had during a specific event. The key is trying to make it personal while keeping them all on the same level of greatfullness (if that makes any sence.) People love to remember great times and be specifically appreciated, so make sure to mention an event that is specfic to the recipient. Ex. 'It was halarious when you pulled out the wine bottle, I died laughing! Thanks for a great time!' Good luck with the cards, I hope they turn out great!
- Fess up. Send thank you notes to all who attended, or all you recall attending. Explain you lost the list but enjoyed their company, had a wonderful time, and deeply appreciate all the wonderful gifts you received.
- Yes, not a problem. Here is what you say. (Same misfortune happened to me) First of all though.... go to walmart.com and somewhere on that site it has where you can create your own invitations, or THANK YOU CARDS In the card you can say Thank you for the generous gift that you gave us at the baby shower. We really appricate everything that you have done for us and we look foward to seeing you soon. Love,(or Thank you) Jane Doe If you remember the gift that the person gave you, you could always write it in later. The people will like this card because they will keep it (kind of like a sentimenal item) because you customized it wil the picture and the printed text can be really nice. Walmart.com even will give you envelopes for them. It will all print out in a day at your local walmarts photo center Have at 'er, Steve
