Do Americans always assume that because a business makes money, they are right?

GM and Chrysler have been operating under this mentality for years, despite all the complaints from customers about their shoddy quality. I bet back when they were making money, people said, "Who are you to complain about those companies, they're making money. Obviously, YOU'RE THE IDIOT!" Americans have no foresight. They live for today. They just want to party and ignore any criticism. They say intelligent people are 'negative naysayers.' Look at McDonald's. I criticized their heavy use of advertising as unnecessary. This was in regards to the government forcing Chrysler to cut their advertising budget in half. Someone said I shouldn't criticize them because they're making a lot of money. Um, I hate to say it, but McDonald's is one of the blandest fast food restaurants out there. I hate spending my lunches there. The only good thing about them are their TV's and interior, but not much else. They're turning their restaurant into a jack-of-all-trades, and the food just tastes awful. Been on their website lately? GROAN, they're more obsessed with nutrition than good food. Hey, not everyone lives in Seattle. I doubt McDonald's will be on top for much longer. I think it's the beginning of the end for them. There are going to be a wave of new burger places soon that are going to hurt McDonald's more. I don't see them maintaining their dominance, I really don't.

  1. A little "ranty", but I'll give it a shot... Americans believe that a business should be safe from "nationalization" by the idiots in office. Americans believe that they should be able to make coices for themselves. Americans believe that if a business makes money, it shall be allowed to operate without interference provided it is a legitamate business, and be allowed to FAIL if it is not profitable.
