Why is wrestling listed in the sports section?

Surely it should be in the acting section, as wrestlers all appear to be a bunch of loud mouthed actors that spend more time shouting and big noting themselves than doing actual wrestling. Gee Tank, I may touch myself at night...but at least I can spell "because." And judging by your avatar, I reckon men in skirts touch you at night!

  1. Because wrestling is a real sport but the fake wrestling is the ones like wwe, nwa, tna you know but there were such things as wrestling sport not fake the romans about hundreads of years bc wrestled as a sport
  2. Wouldnt you get a better response if you ask this in a non-wrestling section ? You are pathetic! Why would you even ask this question in the wrestling section to a bunch of wrestling aficionados knowing they will biased towards product? I think you are an idiot, for asking such an ignorant question.
  3. I've got to agree with you there! It's a mystery to me why people enjoy it. I detest it. I'm am an American who lives overseas and have observed that people in many countries love to watch American pro-wrestling. I tell them that it is singularly the worse export America has ever done.
  4. I wouldn't be so harsh. Wrestling IS a sport and it is also entertainment. Sure the storylines are fake, sure they know in advance who is going to win a match and sure they aren't truly fighting. But, wrestlers do a lot of work to keep fit and perform their moves therefore it still falls under the category of sports. I'm not even a huge fan of wrestling. But, I know that it can't be an easy profession. I doubt any of us normal everyday people could put up with being tossed around a ring, being hit with chairs (even if they are "fake" chairs), sent flying through the air, etc. Regardless, if you like wrestling or not, those people work hard to be in top physical condition.
  5. becuase you touch yourself at night
  6. These days it's more of an Entertainment show but it's still got wrestling in it so it's still classed as a sport.
  7. This is actually the category for amateur/Olympic wrestling and all that jazz. Professional wrestling, however, is far more popular and thus since pro wrestling has no other section, we go here. Besides, those loud-mouthed actors are actually extremely good athletes that go out and wrestle more than 300 days a year, and the work is actually very physically straining. It's like a football player going out and playing two or three games every week for the entire year. That's how physically straining it is. By the way, I've seen far worse exports from America on television than pro wrestling.
