how do i INVITE my contacts from a different messanger to my online list?

well i want to invite my friends from windows live messanger and i do not know how to invite them. I read the tutorials but it did not help!! please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. when you answer your email press the add button to add friends to yahoo messeger contacts and then double click on them when their in yahoo messenger contacts and a symbol with an exclamation point shows up and you click on that and it will automatically invite them to your messenger,but they have to accept the invitation and when they do you can chat forever!!!!!!!!
