How do i add somebody to my online contact in new yahoo beta ?

I was told to just go to contact and check box were it says show this contact in my online list but when i click save it doest save the check box. Can somebody please help

ADD EMAIL CONTACTS AND SEND MAIL TO CONTACTS adding email addresses to your address book sometimes resolves problems FOR THE ALL NEW MAIL on the left side you will see contacts choose add then once you have typed in the email address or when they send you mail choose add to address book button then once you have contacts choose compose then click TO beside where the email addresses go this brings up your address book put a check beside all contacts that apply all those contacts will then be in that emall FOR CLASSIC EMAIL click contacts just above check mail and compose then top left side of page click add contact or go to the bottom add quick contact type in there address or when soneone sends you mail choose click add to address book button then once you have contacts click compose then click TO beside where the email addresses go this brings up your address book put a check beside all contacts that apply all those contacts will then be in that emall
3. 1. Go to contacts list 2. Select the grey circle next to contact name 3. for a windows live user select 'add to online list' option on tag that appears at the top of the chat 4. they're on your list and you can chat
