What should I write?

alright, i have 2 story ideas, which is better? 1st: loosely based off of tristan and isolde about a preppy girl and the guitar playing boy that's been her best friend since age 5. when the musician gets a scholarship to another school, the 2 fall apart a little bit. the girl ends up dating the his cousin, and trouble ensues as the girl falls in love with her old friend, but is too kind to hurt her boyfriend's feelings. they end up falling apart and though the girl tries to stop the boy as he goes to college in europe, she misses the plane. the boy's band hits gold on a song written for the girl six years later and they end up together 2nd- a boy, thomas, hits a strange girl with his car. at first, she can't speak english, but she quickly learns. she claims to be from 'somewhere else' and everyone thinks she's insane. Thomas gets a close relationship with her, but the government threatens to put her in an asylum. she changes thomas' life. it's a lot more detailed, im outta space!

4. 2nd story. It seems to have more of that 'mystical' feel. I would love to read the story. can't for it to get published!

6. The first sounds like Sk8er Boy by Avril Levine. The second sounds like the movie The 5th Element. You must have something better and more personal to tell. Look at your own life. Don't use the "but my life is boring" cop out.
7. I really like the first one. Even though it seems a bit typical, there are so many ways you can make it your own! It has a ton of potential, and I think it could end up being so much better than the typical "boy likes girl and girl likes boy but don't tell each other" type thing. It sounds like it could be really sweet.
