I want off of Direct Mailing lists in Canada. Anyone know a website? I?

I want off of a direct mailing list because the name and address are wrong. Anyone know an email, web site or number I can call in Canada to get this taken care of?

  1. The Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) has a do not contact that you can get on. Most of the ad mail you get will be from their members who will use this list to remove you from their mailings. This is the best route to go since the piece of mail is then never sent. You can also leave a note on the inside lip of your mailbox letting the Canadian Post know that you no longer wish to receive advertising mail. They will then filter out what they deem to be advertising. This is not as good since the mail is still being sent out, just not put in your mailbox. If you are only having problems with one or two companies then I would contact them directly and they will remove you from their list. Sometimes they are renting your name from another company and if you can find that company and get off of their list that could solve a lot of your problems as well. I hope this helps. 2. Just send back your mail crossing out your name/address as R.T.S. (return to sender) or put on, no longer lives here. Drop it in the mailbox or leave for your postal worker to pick up. I still get mail here after 8 years from the previous owner. If you do find a website for us Canadians, let us know.
  3. Just put a new address (some one you dislike) and send back to whoever sent to you, put this person had moved to this new location. once I even called them ( the company sent) they said they could not do anything about it, that sounds ridicule but it's true. Any way good luck.
