What's the safest way to sell a car through Craig's list?

I've heard stories of people being robbed through craig's list. Do you have any tips to stay safe and actually get paid for the car?

1. get cash for the car nothing else
2. Craigslist is simply a place to post an ad - nothing more. it's the same as putting an ad in the paper but it's free, so you have to be careful of con artists just like putting an ad anywhere. I agree with the other poster - cash only. Even bank checks can be forged.
