How to stop People from asking to add them to Online Contacts list on Yahoo Email?

Every time I log on to Yahoo Email, I got tons of People asking to add them to Online Contacts list. That's really really annoying, can anyone tell me how to stop this from happening????? And I'm pretty sure my friends did not want to do this, it's all automatically done by damn Yahoo email.
