need a baby shower list?

ok so were throwing a baby shower for a friend of mine, and im incharge of the registry list... except i literally have no ideas what babys need besides diapers lol.... so i dont know what should be on the list? could you help me out?

1. hello, if you go on to a baby website i.e www.mothercare.co.uk or www.boots.co.uk they will give you lists of what a baby really needs. id be here a while if i done a list now im pregnant and have just finished buying for my new addition these sites are fab. xx
2. we registered for the things we liked ourselves, not the people who did the baby shower. thats how i would recommend jsut so they can pick out what they like and need and feel comfortable about getting. a registry is just a recommendation for people if they have no clue what to buy. most people wont even use it.
3. On registry websites it will say VIEW TOP REGISTRY ITEMS or MUST HAVES...
