Does anyone have a prepared list of line-by-line items to compare when choosing an auto insurance policy?
Just when I think I've got a fair quote, I realize there's a line item missing. I'm looking for a template that lists all the options in all categories (comprehensive, liabilty, collision etc) so I can just fill in the numbers and compare.

- nope i say whats your cheapest policy then i call someone else just type into search box how to pick the right auto insurance
- Find a local independent agent. Give him your information and the coverage you require. Let him look at his data base of companies, and do the comparison for you, then choose the one that best suits your needs at the most fair price. Added benefit: You get a real person at time of need, not just a web page and toll free number.
- Try getting an online insurance quote from one of the major insurance providers.
- Buying auto insurance is usually called as grudge purchase because, people do not profit from taking out insurance in general, but they are forced to buy it anyway in order to prevent the possible losses that would arise out of unforeseen events. - Liability coverage =required by law in most states, pays for damages/injuries if at fault Collision coverage =required if you have a loan on auto; pays for damages to YOUR auto minus a deductible Comprehensive; =same as collision; Medical payments and or PIP; pays for injuries to driver and all passengers if injured, regardless of fault Rental coverage; pays for rental car for YOU if car in body shop or undrivable from accident Uninsured bodily injury; pays if NOT AT FAULT, but other driver has no insurance; ie; hit/run Under-insured bodily injury; same as above with exception, other driver has insurance, but not enough; ie; has $10k coverage, but injuries are $20K; his insurance pays $10K and your coverage picks up the remaining $10K. Make sure that each coverage you choose has the same limits to compare. ie; $25K liability will cost more than $10K liability. hope this helps
- I would like to suggest to try to get as much information as you could before making up your mind, here http://www.CarInsuranceTip.info is a very resourceful one.
