What are some practical and real world uses of Calculus limits?

Please list some real world applications of calculus.

1. One of my favorite examples is the numerical computation of functions by means of Taylor series. That's how pocket calculators find sin(x), for example. There are many others, though, including finding the volume of irregular shapes, etc.
2. yeah what the first guy said, we used limits to find the volume of irregular objects, shapes with holes in them, etc... You can also use limits to find out what shapes are best for what, like for example we did a problem with limits to try and find like what was the best aerodynamic shape, I dont remember much though, it was like 2 years ago.
