My address book contact list has a virus. friends get spam email. How do I stop this? All my friends keep getting an email inviting them to link to some site. How do I remove this virus? Is there something you can do from your end to monitor and wipe out this virus?

1. It is not a virus. It came from a link in an email sent by one of your friends saying "Check out this cool photo". If you clicked on it, it raided your contacts. Most of the spam is one-time only so don't worry. If you are really worried, hold down the F8 key the next time you turn on your computer. It will open the computer in Safe Mode. Then you can choose a date in the past when you did not have the spam emails sent. Your computer will be restored to that date. But if you downloaded anything after that date, it won't show up.
