When do you get your book list for university ?

Today I found out that I am going to uni (yeah!) and I was wondering when you get the book list, cause being the newly book worm I need to be, I can't wait to delve into my biology course. lol I know I'm a loser, but want to work hard with this opportunity I have been given (as no one in my family has ever gone to uni) thanks in advance xxx

1. E-mail your professors for a syllabus, and you can get the required texts.
2. You'll probably get it in freshers week. However, I can help you out as I'm about to go into my 3rd year of Env. Biogeoscience and have done several biology modules in the past two years as well knowing people that have done/are doing biology. I can tell you that Campbell & Reece's Biology (link to Amazon description below) is definitely the best textbook to have. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Biology-Eighth-Neil-Campbell/dp/0321536169/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1250814304&sr=8-2 Good luck, and well done for starting early, biology is HARD.
3. Either in freshers week or during the first lecture of each module of your course. I was given mine in the first lectures. My sister was given hers in freshers week. I think it depends on the university.
