Restaurant trying to market Lunch Specials to office buildings in area?

I am trying to marketing our lunch special to local offices, business, etc. I thought about doing a mass fax campaign. Anyone know how to get a list of faxes for my area? We are in New York City. Any other ideas for marketing our lunch specials?

  1. Personally I hate faxes - even if It's received by computer. Everyone gets them - they're not special anymore and might hurt instead of help. Drop a flyer/postcard/menu/paper plate/coupon, etc. to every business within 3 blocks. Or focus on one office building at a time(shorter walk time). You'll want to hit as many offices in the building before lunch. The Paper Plate Special: Print a message on a paper plate "Bring in this plate for lunch and we'll put a (fill in the blank with the type of cuisine you offer) on it, with fries and a drink for $5!" You get the picture.
  2. Yea, I would highly avoid the mass-fax idea. As of 2005, it's now illegal with huge fines for spamming. What I would do is use the internet to get the word out. It's crazy the number of people who use their cell phones/etc to find local restaurants. Investigate using coupons on sites / apps that people use to find local restaurants. If you want to really get the word out using the internet, my company can do it for you: http://www.dynamicresultsnetwork.com/
