Is it better to sell large items that you don't want to ship on ebay or Craig's lists?
The items are a large weight set with various sized metal hand weights, a metal bar, and a rack for the weights. There is also a large punching bag and an exercise bike. I am not interested in shipping and would need to sell to someone in my area. I don't know if ebay would even be an option if this is the case, but I thought I'd post it for some feedback.

- How about donating to a local thrift store?
- Craigslist is the obvious choice, since they're local. Nobody on eBay would want to buy such large heavy items if they'd have to pay for shipping.
- Do you have a Play It Again Sports Consignment store in your area?
- I search Craigislist first when I want to buy any large/heavy items.
- You can do a pick up only option on ebay, but why bother? Ebay charges to list items and will still only be available to people in your area.
- You can use Craigslist; but beware scammers who are looking to take advantage. Home Invasions are on a high.
