Ok so I want to get on you tube. Its blocked on my comp cause my dad says its a 'teenage wasteland' and i think thats stupid. (same with face book) I'd really like a pro xy site that can get me there. But Everything on my comp is blocked by keywords ((I think)) So it can't have the words 'pro xy' or 'you tube' in it. Also any other video site you know of would be appreicaited. go to tools>options>Secutirty tab(usuming you use IE)> then go to restrickted sites and if those r on the lsit, then delete them, and if they're niot add them to trusted sites
Here is a crazy idea - have a mature conversation with him about why they are blocked, and explain to him why you should be able to go onto the sites and no just because or i wanna i wanna i wanna or all my friends do it will not be sufficient answers on your end.

I don't think everything is blocked by keywords, That would be to much work, and would make it so many sites that have those words in it could not be accessed. Nope I think your Dad is using Open DNS servers. It's the same thing over 20,000 schools use. So I don't think you are going to have much luck. You can test this by putting in a web url and making a mistake, then you might get the open dns page.

Well besides unblocking it yourself (unless he is administrator and made that impossible) you can use a proxy website. A proxy website is a website which allows you to browse from their website to any site regardless of any blocks. The only way it wont work is if the proxy website itself is blocked, but their are over 5000 working proxy's on the internet im sure that you will find one that works. The most popular is http://www.proxywebsite.org/ Also, if you do go on youtube, be sure to erase your browsing history in case your dad checks
