what do you think of people's opinions....?

the only reason i'm posting it in this section is because most of my questions are about dogs. anyone else get annoyed when you are asking a question for help and advice and some people will take all this info off a google website which you know isnt their own writing. to make it worse, some people dont list their sources and you could easily just copy the link on instead of copying and pasting. something that also bugs me is when people tell you you're a bad owner and that you dont deserve the own a dog when they have no idea who you are, how you raise your dog and what your life's like, they produce a prejudice opinion from one paragraph of writing! to make it worse, they'll add onto that with a huge lecture about whats right and whats wrong when you know perfectly well. anyone else get bothered by that? mel

  1. I see what you're saying. I hate it when someone asks an OPINION on something so you give your opinion and then the next poster will say "Oh that's so wrong and inhumane.. don't listen to what others are telling you.. it's wrong.. do it this way instead"... I'm sorry but that's what opinions are all about.. it doesn't mean it's right or wrong.. it's an OPINION!
  2. i totally agree with you there
  3. Yep, I hate when people cut and paste from another source instead of just providing a link. I much prefer to see original ideas and thoughts backed up by links that provide sources for an opinion. I also don't like it when people are rude to others. I sometimes disagree (forums are for discussion and sometimes debate), but I try to do it politely and without accusing people of being a bad owner or a bad person, etc. Being preachy isn't likely to get someone to change their point of view, instead they just get defensive. It doesn't get you many best answers either :-)
  4. You are spot on. Unfortunately, when reading in a forum, you don't always get the full picture. I think people should help and hold off on judgement until they get the idea. As long as a pet is not neglected,,,what's the problem. I've had people disagree with me because my two GSD's stay outside in a kennel most of the day. They come in the house to be with me when I choose and they are happy, well loved and I don't have to have two huge dogs running around my house. Heck, they get the yard to play in when I go outside with them each day...lol At to sources, some people just want to answer questions rather than have any experience on the subject...lol Yup, bother's me but I have more important things to worry about....let it slide....
  5. I also agree with you, and I might add that what bothers me the most is reading the answers of those who don't know what they're talking about, like:" if your dog has ringworms, than you need to deworm it" or "never give people's medicine to a dog"..........helloooo???? 90% of the medicine given to dogs are human medicine!!!!!One shouldn't give any without consulting with the vet first, and/or knowing the proper dosage, I agree with that, but that's beside the point I'm trying to make. Ringworm is a fungus, you bunch of idiots..... Craps like that is what really bother me!
  6. Yes I agree with you. It is like a saying : "Don't judge a book by it's cover". Well not everybody is the same and think the same.
  7. LMFAO!!!! Honey,99.99999999999% of people here don't know which end BITES!!! & the questions(& answers!) are near BRAINLESS *&*.....they do ***NOT*** want the TRUTH but only to be cootchie-cooed along & reinforced in their ABYSMAL ignorance.
