- Be sure to pack a loose fitting gown or dress to wear home. Pants, even elastic ones are uncomfortable over the incision according to my sister.
- clothes for the baby, blanket, comfy and loose clothes for you.
- Slippers for both of you house coats Comfy pants and t shirts (sweats and pj's) Ipod or something for music Bottled water, granola bars, fresh fruit, muffins towels hair elastics face wash and shampoo CAMERA!! if you have it a portable dvd player and some dvd's For baby blankets diapers wipes (at my hospital they only had dry ones) Bring money incase you forget something then you can get someone to run out and grab it
- congratulations! Wooo hoo almost time! Pack a robe for yourself and slippers. They will have you try walking some the 2nd or third day and you dont want to be showing off your backside in the halls lol. Bring cards, your laptop if you have one, camera for baby pics, My sis even had her husband take pics of he procedure. she wasn't sure if she would want them later but some were great (one at the end where she was touching noses with my niece:) Snacks for your hubby and a razor and personal care items. You can use the hospital things but hospital razors are aweful! Mine learned the hard way lol. Bring an outfit that you want to take your babies home in and special blankets for the twins if you want. The hospital provides many things but again its all up to you. Be sure to ask for "soothies" after you have them. Your nipples will be really sore nursing for the first time and especially with two! Nurses will know what you mean but if they don't they may have something comparable. Soothies are gel pads that you can place between your breast pads and your skin, They are cooling and moisterizing which you will need. Bring chapstick because your lips may get dry, Just anything to help you feel more comfortable. Diapers and things are provided and as for your hubby if he's anything like mine all he will need is some sweats and maybe pillow. Make a list because you will forget things. Also bring your call list with you and make sure to have a plan as to who is in charge of calling whom. Know ahead of time who plans on being there when you go in and who wants to be contacted after. ITs better than trying to call everyone in your excitement. :) Best of luck and blessings :)
