deleting friends from yahoo online list?

okay.. how do you delete a person from your online contact list? i deleted the contact but it still says they are on...... and i tried to hit block but it wont work! help!

1. If you are referring to Yahoo Mail, check the box next to the name, go to the top of the page and click the Spam button. If you are referring to Yahoo Instant Messenger, right click on the name and select Delete from the drop down menu.
