Can anyone give me some nonsuggestive dance songs from this decade? Or where to find them?

We are having our Junior Senior Prom and the songs suck. The teachers don't want suggestive lyrics or vulgar language. But we want something that we can actually dance to - not just slow dance. We want our prom to be cool and everything but we can't dance to CCR, Elvis, and the Monkees (yes, this is what the teachers put as our prom song list; no, this is not to do with our theme). Can anyone else?? PLEASE! From atlease 1999-2008. PLEASE HELP!

3. In your case I'd probably go for house music. It's considerably more instrumental than some of the vulgar music you hear at many clubs in the US these days (in fact the rest of the world is listening to house and trance, we're a bit of an anomaly). You could also throw in some trance and drum+bass as well. There are some hip-hop tracks that have only the beat and no lyrics so if everyone knows the lyrics anyway... you get the idea. This stuff is usually quite fast hovering around 130-150 BPM but almost all DJs speed up or slow down the tracks they're playing to suit the occasion so that Elvis stuff might just sound danceable coming out of the mixer. The DJ (assuming you're hiring one) will test the crowd in the first few songs he plays. If he/she knows what their doing, the music should be fine. Here are a few tracks that you may or may not like. You should play them on large speakers as you don't really get an idea of how they sound on the dance floor until you hear it played loud. Also make sure you have the exact mix I'm talking about or you might get something different.
