My first dance, Prom. Need help..?
I was never the type to attend a dance. But I was asked to go by a guy I am talking to and I said yes. But I have no idea what to do with my hair and makeup. I do not want to get it professionally done because it is only my Junior prom, so please list some ideas that can be done at home. Please and Thank you. http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/?action=view¤t=039.jpg http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/039 http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/?action=view¤t=158. http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/158.jpg http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/?action=view¤t=l_96dc9493ef1f4b56a34224fe7daa6438.jpg http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/l_96dc9493ef1f4b56a34224fe7daa6438.jpg http://s653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/?action=view¤t=l_726bb959295d4b9ba08df6f862a01763.jpg http://i653.photobucket.com/albums/uu252/lyndavan2010/l_726bb959295d4b9ba08df6f862a01763.jpg Also, if it's possible please provide information or procedure to do my hair and/or make up. Thank you.

- since you have short hair you could volumize it and keep it stick strait. Maybe put half of it up as well.. Or you could invest in some clip in hair extensions (they last for ages so if you like long hair you will get some majorly good use out of them) and use a curling iron and curl it in loose curls and pin it to one side
- totally love the answer above me! but they failed to mention you beautiful;D
- Okay. Do your hair first. I'd curl it a little if you have a flat iron or curling iron. You could keep it out of your face with a little clip or something. Use anti-friz spray. Then, do your makeup. For lipstick, I'd go with a rose color. For gloss, use a light pink. (Bubblegum pink, for example.) For blush, pinch your cheeks. Whatever color they turn is the color you need. I'd use light green shadow, brown eyeliner, and black mascara for your eyes. On youtube, they have directions on how to do smokey eye, curling your hair, etc. Hope this helps!!!!!!

- Dear lord! Your first dance! This is from another girl's point of view, so I really mean it: YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! Alright, anyhow. From what I can tell you have shoulder-length, dark-brown/black hair. Now, depending on what kind of mood you want you can do a number of things with it: Girlish: Curl it in bouncy, loose rings and puff it up. Sexy: With a straightening iron take the hair in clumps from the middle of the bundles and slide the iron down, curved, so that the end (after repetition) result leaves the ends of the hair curved towards the face. I would practice this beforehand (I know it sounds dorky, but it is a try, try again thing) to make sure it looks good and your doing it right. My stylist showed me. I would also put in a VERY light sheen of hair spray; nobody likes stiff hair. Sophisticated: Leave two smallish bundles of hair out by the ears and bangs. With the rest of the hair, smooth and pull it back like you would a pony tail. Then, gripping the base of the column of hair with one hand, take the rest of the hair and curl it around the thumb of the hand holding the base of the hair. Take a heavy-duty clip and put the metal edge under the hair that the end of the pony tail is hitting and clip in the loose hair. Sorry if that really scrambled, but its super cute. Style bangs, per usual and very slightly curl (almost just wave) the strands. Gives funky, yet higher class feel. Really hope I helped and have a wonderful time at the dance!
