Which dress do you like better?

I'm throwing a sweet sixteen, and the theme is masquerade. I want to go as "Think of Me" Christine Daaé from Phantom of the Opera. I like these two dresses equally, but can't decide which one to make. It's between this one ( http://simplicity.com/dv1_v4.cfm?design=3878 ) and this one ( http://www.butterick.com/item/B4918.htm??tab=list/evening_prom_bridal&page=all ). They would be done in white. Please don't give me new suggestions - these two are the FINAL choices. If you want to look at the effect I'm going for, google image search "emmy rossum think of me" and it will be the first result. In case you didn't read carefully, these are PATTERNS. My mother is a professional seamstress - she'd be making the dress in the material that I wanted. Please READ what I've written, because already people have shown that they've not. And I'm not going to change my mind about color. It's one of these two dresses in white. No ifs, ands, or buts.

2. Wow...theyre both really pretty, but in this special occasion, I would go with #2. The 1st one is really pretty, but more for prom. Also, it doesnt really say "masquerade" as much as #2. In #2, the gloves add a special touch and it REALLY has the feel of a masquerade ball. GOod luck, youll look great!

8. it's your special day and you should be the center of attention. If you come out in the second dress every ones eyes will be glued on you the whole night. I really really like that one.
9. the first one is really ugly... sorry that was mean, but its my opinion. i like the 2nd one... in pink not white.. save that for ur wedding day!!!

11. well if ur going for a ballroom gown, go for the second one...if i were u though id add color or those jewls at hte bottom to some part otherwise the both of them would end up looking like a wedding dress rather than a ball gown from an opera.
12. I think the second one fits the theme better, because it's a floor length dress... The first one reminds me more of the ballerina outfits from the movie :) Hope this helps your decision!

14. I would not buy the second dress if you can't see a real photo of it. You never know what the actual dress will look like... it could be made of crappy material and poorly put together. Too risky!
15. If it's masquerade then the second one would be better. If it's just for prom the first one (which is awesome) would be good.

18. the second one is very lovely to us males and if you have boobs that are good, then that will accompany your looks. since the first dress doesnt have a small amount to wrap around those sexy shoulders, then the second one makes it up for the chest area.
19. I liked the second dress better. I looks closer to the dress Christine wore in the second half of the song when she was actually performing in front of people, which I thought was beautiful.
