What are mailing lists and how do I join one?

I read this article by this guy who said he got $15000 in between 20-50 days by sending six letters out with a dollar in each of them with this list or whatever with these six people on it or something and I add my name to the list and soon I will have tons of cash coming in through the mail and it's perfectly legal because it is a service and you are paying willing participants. It also said something about posting the message on online message boards.

2. I did the same kind of thing about 7 years ago. Good news, it really worked. Bad news, I only got $12.
3. The old Pyramid scheme is to get as many people to send money, some people get some during the early part of the game but the culprits pull out when it get just big enough and then everybody loses. By the way it is illegal in most states so don't be gullible and an easy mark. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. Work hard, keep your nose clean and save money out of every paycheck, you'll be just fine
