1. Angie's List is a membership organization that serves many major cities and mid-sized cities in the US. If you join, pay your fee for the year, you can access the database online for your area. Other members will have set up a record for a service provider they've used and rated the service provider on several levels. You can search for plumbers, hair dressers, veterinarians, and all manner of service providers to get a rating from people who have used the companies first-hand. Companies can't pay to join, so the info is pretty much just clean from the standpoint of being experience & opinions of other members.
