  1. I havent read any of them. And you have to do homework on the holidays? Thats really sad. Anyways just read them in order, or pick the cover that look the nicest. Whatever keeps the whole thing going, I dont know, close your eyes and throw them in the air then pick one up open your eyes and read it.
  2. omg i read the color of water and it was really good! its a lil confusing because you have to read the prolog or else you won't understand the story. its like they switch from the boy (the main character) to the mother of the boy. it's a really good story and i would suggest it to anyone who loves stories about family :D and also i herad of in cold blood. if you like gore, i would suggest it. i'm not sure but i think it's about a murder... well last year we had those two books on our booklist and the boys all read in cold blood and the girls all read the color of water, but my mom even loved the color of water. she recommended it to me out of the list... and it was really good ps and btw to the person above me: everyone has to read books and do a book report if you're in high school. this year i have to read pride and prejudice... ugh. but yeah, just wait and see unless you have a really easy school, you will have to read books over the summer.and do a book report before school starts... :(
  3. The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck is an incredible tale of families struggling to survive. Characters and plot are all well developed. I highly recommend this book. The Bluest Eye by Morrison and Nickel and Dimed by Ehrenreich are also good books. If you prefer non-fiction, choose the Ehrenreich book. Good luck. Hope this helps.
  4. I read all of them except for "The Bluest Eye" and "Nickel and Dimed". They are all good books in their own rights. "The Grapes of Wrath" is a classic. I would recommend "The Grapes of Wrath", or "Fast Food Nation" because there are movie re-makes of these books that can give you a good reference to check out. That is my opinion. Good Luck. JJ
  5. hmmm.......I've read many of these. personally, I would recommend In Cold Blood or Into Thin Air. out of the list those are the best two. Jon Krakauer is one of my favorite authors and Truman Capote is just fun to read. others that i've read include The Grapes of Wrath - tale of a family struggling in the great depression nickel and dimed - know ive read it, but i can't seem to remember =) guess it wasnt that interesting fast food nation - all the crazy, disgusting facts you never want to know about mcdonalds, burger king, chickfila....
  6. "The City of Ember" and the rest "books of ember" by Jeanne DuPrau "The Middle Place" by Kelly Corrigan (auto-biography) "The Hunger Games" by Suzane Collins "The Green Glass Sea" by Ellen Klages ("White Sands, Red Menace" if u like it, it's the sequel) then tell me if u liked any of them :D
