Why did Kool Moe Dee in his Top Rappers List (his book bout MCs) give 1st place to Melle Mell ?

I've heard Melle and no one track impressed me at all (objectivly worse than Rakim and others) mfjos Beatles are universal, Rolling Stones is definetly overrated

3. I'm guessing it's because kool moe d has been around since the beginning. Think about it like this. My dad 56 years old thinks no band will ever be as good as the beatles, while I do like the beatles I also think they are the most overrated band in the history of music. It's just a matter of personal taste really.
