Windows XP, add/remove software list?
My daughter tried to use her Barbie of Swan lake software but it no longer works. I was going to uninstall it and then reinstall it but on the remove software list the icon for it has a red x through it. I think it might has something to do with having to upgrade quick time? If anyone knows why this red x, please enlighten me.

- Try reinstalling the program. Then UNINSTALL again. Then reinstall afterwards Reboot your computer in between each install/reinstall
- As far as I can tell, the red X usually indicates nothing is opening or not available. so Sorry I can't be of any more help.
- That "X" means usually "no, you cannot" do it. Install the software, reboot your PC. Go to Control Panel, uninstall it again. Reboot your PC. Go again and install it, and then should be okay. Usually if you can't remove it, install it again, reboot, remove it. Have a nice day. :)
- (considering if your in control panel>add/remove programs) If you cant uninstall it then you might want to look to the right of it and check out how many mb it has, some games that I have uninstalled had an error during un-installation and left around 0.48 or mb, the red x might indicate an error. or) Have you tried installing it with the program still there, since some of the files for it could have been deleted. lastly) It may have something to do with flash player try this- http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash
- the program either wasn't written for xp or the program is missing ini files which should be available from the program manufacturer
