What do you think a teacher means when they ask for a software listing?

I'm writing a report on a microprocessor design, and Under the software section he asks for: -Description -Flowchart -Listing(Appendix) I've tried to get ahold of him and he is nowhere to be found, it's due tomorrow so I hope you can help me! Please specify what a listing is. I need to include it, but have no idea what it actually is.

  1. If this person has any respect for you as a teacher; he will agree that it is reasonable for it to be late, as it his failure to help in a situation where he is the only way you can be helped, has made you late. Is this doesn't work, I would look into making a complaint.
  2. Well, what software are you dealing with in your report? What you are describing is a traditional presentation of a program: first you describe it and design the specs, then you do a flowchart of how it works, then you present the listing of the code which does the actual work. Check with a friend in the class as to whether you should do it or not.
  3. Typically I would consider Listing to be the source code for what is being developed, especially if they are listing a flowchart which is the overall design.
