cable internet tweaks?

I have a one meg download connection...I was wondering if there was anyway to mod it to get a lil more out of it. i have all the windows registry tweaks done. I was wondering if there is hardware i can get to steal a lil more bandwidth from the isp. or a tweak i can do to my cable modem to get a faster connection. don't list software tweaks unless they're insanely good and free.

1. No. Your cable provider decides the bandwidth, and you can do nothing to change it except calling them and probably paying more at the best.
