What are some of the most scary horror movies?

I'm looking for a list of really scary horror movies, not cheesy ones that are so bad they're funny. Also I don't really consider movies with only gore to be scary, so movies like House of 1000 Corpses, Devils Rejects, Hills have eyes, Hostel don't classify as scary horror movies (at least to me). What would be considered in your top 10?

2. The Omen - still freaks me out, all that devil stuff....
3. I've really enjoyed Cube, though it's not terribly scary all the way through.
4. the most frightening movie i ever saw was "seven" but it's more of a "gets into your head and won'd get out" kind of scarey than blood and guts... but there are some disturbing scenes.

6. The video copy of my parents wedding from cine film!!! Failing that, The Shining definatley stands out for me......also the old school like Hitchcock, his films are still in a class of their own.
7. It is very, very difficult to get better than The Exorcist
8. The Omen (original) and The Exorcist, and The Entity.

Not necessarily in any particular order: The Exorcist, Halloween, Nosferatu(silent film from the late 20's early 30's), Dracula with Bela Lugosi, Wolfman with Lon Chaney,Jr., Nightmare on Elm St, The Fog(original), The Fly(original and remake with Jeff Goldblum), House on Haunted Hill, the list goes on...but of all mentioned, The Exorcist still scares the cr*p out of me...

14. Any movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger in it is a scary movie to me!!!
15. The Changeling...circa1970's The Exorcist Friday the 13th...original only Pieces...1980's Texas chainsaw Massacre...original Only the classics are good anymore. Fear has been replaced by blood from untalented Hollywood
