Top 10 Gangster Movies of All Time - Do you agree?

Last night AFI showed their picks for Top 10 movies in 10 different genres. The Top 10 for Gangster movies listed: 1 - The Godfather 2 - Good Fellas 3 - The Godfather, Part 2 4 - White Heat 5 - Bonnie & Cylde 6 - Scarface (1932) 7 - Pulp Fiction 8 - The Public Enemy 9 - Little Ceasar 10 - Scarface (1983) http://www.afi.com/10top10/gangster.html Now I haven't seen 6, 8 & 9 so I can't judge those, but I would have expected to see 'Once Upon A Time in America' or 'The Untouchables' in the Top 10. Do agree with the listing? What movies do you think should have made the list and didn't, if any?

1. I don't see any problems.
2. I agree with your assessment, there are other movies that better deserve to be on that list......the 2 you mentioned among them. Another one that I think was a great movie was "Mobsters" (1991) with Christian Slater, Laura Flynn Boyle, Patrick Dempsey, Anthony Quinn, and F. Murray Abraham.
3. Runnings Scared should be in there, Casino too.
4. I often disagree with many of AFI lists. This one has some good selections (Goodfather, Godfellas, Bonnie & Clyde, Pulp Fiction), but I agree with you that Once Upon a Time In America and The Untouchables are at least better than Scarface (1983). I also think Reservoir Dogs deserved to be there. "City of God" and Scorsese's "Casino" are other worthy films.
5. I agree with number 1, 7 and 10, i haven't seen any others. I think taxi drive and silence of the lambs should definatley be up there!!!
