- Just curious..............Why no movies older than the 80's That is so limiting and so sadly excluding some of the BEST movies ever made
- Might as well rephrase the question to say top 10 ten of the 90's. The 80's is where movies started going down hill after the second golden age, then it picked up in the 90's, then dived rock bottom for most of the 2000's and now we are going back up again. Simply put pre (John Hughes style) 80's era movies are a considerably better than post 80's Cinema. In other words, movies before the 80's are a lot better than movies made during and after the 80's. My personal top 10 (post 1985) in no particular order. 1. The Goodfellas 2. The Matrix 3. Pulp Fiction 4. Full Metal Jacket 5. Fight Club 6. Schindler's List 7. Silence of the Lambs 8. Saving Private Ryan 9. There Will Be Blood 10. The Usual Suspects
- 1. Stand By Me 2. Shawshank Redemption 3. Fight Club 4. The Devil's Advocate 5. The Green Mile 6. Goodfellas 7. The Breakfast Club 8. Schindlers List 9. Forrest Gump 10. Pulp Fiction
- Leon the Professional (1994) - The best movie ever. A hitman develops an awkward relationship with a young girl as he reluctantly trains her in his profession. Speed (1994) A crazed killer sets a bomb on a bus that will detonate if it goes below 50 mph. Forrest Gump (1994) Life is like a box of chocolates. Movie requires no explanation. The Truman Show (1998) A man's entire life is secretly being televised as he lives on what is essentially a giant movie set. The Matrix (1999) I know kung-fu. This movie shouldn't require an explanation. Sahara (2005) A determined group of three must find the source of a sickness. Saying any more would be spoiling, but it involves a ton of action. Thank You for Smoking (2005) A comedy about a man who is an advocate for smoking cigarettes. Lord of War (2005) A man deals weapons for a living, leading a very risky business. Ghost Town (2008) A great comedy. A narcissistic man has a close shave with death and begins to see ghosts, and wants nothing but for them to leave him alone. The Dark Knight (2008) Why so serious? No explanation needed. Eagle Eye (2008) A mysterious all-knowing woman calls two people on their cellphones and lead them all over the place, forcing them along with material threats and psychologically manipulating them. Brooklyn's Finest (2009) The heartbreaking story of three cops working in brooklyn.
