1. You can buy baby chickens at Cal Ranch, or any local farm store, they may be out of season, but most stores can order them for you. And the laying depends on the chicken. If the chickens are mature, and get twelve hours of sun a day, have enough food and water, you should be able to get roughly an egg a day from each chicken. :)
